Workshops and retail for all things handmade including knitting, crochet, card making, sewing, patchwork, needlefelting, scrapbooking, upcycling and general thrifty crafting!<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

We are located in the Brunel Shopping Precinct in the heart of Somerton in Somerset with free parking close by.

The shop began from the seed of a daydream of a tight Northener who didn’t like throwing things away.\u00a0 Like many creatives, I had accumulated a rather large stash of fabrics, paints and odd bits from over the years.\u00a0 People also gave me stuff they didn’t want and I couldn’t bear to see it go to the tip so it got ‘rescued’. \u00a0 <\/em><\/h4>\n

I always loved a good charity shop rummage and thought the concept of clearing your crafty junk for someone else to buy would work well for\u00a0 fabrics, yarns and arty items that have lain away for donkey’s years!
\n<\/em><\/h4>\n

The shop became a reality in November 2015 and originally was full of pre loved and recycled items that had been bought or dontated or brought down from the loft.<\/h4>\n

Things took off\u00a0 and I was quickly running out of stock and had to find some wholesale suppliers.\u00a0 Later in 2018 due to popular demand, I took on Stylecraft yarns and had to re- learn how to crochet and knit in order to keep up with my customers.<\/h4>\n

2026 takes us to being a Stylecraft and James C Brett stockist of lovely yarns.\u00a0 The shelves are still full of pre-loved and new stock. We have new Maker Monday workshops and a Saturday Sewing School.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Come along for a warm welcome!<\/h4>\n

Now, going from strength to strength, both new and pre loved items sit well side by side in this tiny shop filled with stash that everyone calls “A little Aladdin’s Cave”.<\/p>\n
