Patchwork bag

A different take on the patchwork bag today.  If you are a beginner, we will go with a tote bag of squares.  If you have some experience, we will turn those into diamonds and make something a bit different.

All materials and equipment provided, however you are welcome to bring your own fabric to make something special.

Patchwork tote bag

Fling together some patchwork pieces and make a tote bag to keep or give as a gift.  Once learned, you can take your time choosing colours and designs to make your own at home to give as pretty fab presents!

All materials provided, however if you do have a particular fabric or colour scheme in mind, pop in and see me or bring it with you on the day.

Patchwork

Ever wanted to have a go t patchwork? Now is your chance!

We can make a whole cushion cover in a 9 square pattern, or if you are having fun patching, just continue making 9 squares to finish later at home.

All fabrics, materials and equipment provided, plus refreshments included.

Make a day out and pop to one of our fabulous local cafe’s for lunch afterwards.

Beginners Sewing – Session 2 – patchwork cushion

Come along to this 4 session workshop and learn to sew!

Week 1 – Get to know your sewing machine and its functions.

Week 2 – Make a patchwork square cusion cover.

Week 3 – Zips. Make little bags with zips, great for presents!

Week 4 – Curves and zigzag stitch. We can make an easy top or make some bucket type storage.

 

Mini patchwork bag

In this workshop we will be working with mini patchwork pieces 2 and a half inches square to make a fab little lined patchwork bag with handles.  These are so fab you won’t want to give them away as presents, honest!

All materials and equipment provided from shop stash but you are welcome to bring your own if you have a colour scheme in mind.

Christmas table mat

Use the flip and stitch technique to make a Christmas table mat and  bias bind the edges for a super smart look.  This machine sewing workshop covers these techniques this morning to upskill your sewing moves.

All materials and equipment provided but you are welcome to bring your own fabric to match your Christmas colour scheme.

Come along and use up some scraps to make a patchwork tote bag. Nobody will ever have one like yours!  This workshop can stand alone or  be a consolidator after you have already done the patchwork 9 square and will be suitable for beginners and those with some experience.

You are welcome to use shop stash or bring your own special fabric.

As usual, all equipment, materials and consumables (including tea and biscuits) are provided.

Use the sewing machine to put together an easy 9 square patchwork piece that can be turned into a cushion during the morning, or continue making 9 squares for future projects.  You will learn how to measure and sew a 1/4 inch seam and cut your own squares with a rotary cutter and ruler.

All materials and equipment are provided, but if you have special fabric you would like to use then do bring it with you.  As we are nearing Christmas, we could go with some Christmassy fabrics to use or work with shop stash.

Tea and biscuits and tuition are available to keep you going through the morning.
